Refreshing Summer Drinks

Today's blog isn't about food...but about refreshing drinks!!

I don't know what the weather is - where you live, but it's been in the 90's in Virginia...and HOTTTTTT!!!!

I'm not complaining, because my melanin is poppin...since I have been absorbing all this Vitamin D!

AND....because of all of that fun in the sun...

I LOVE refreshing drinks...whether homemade or ones I can grab while out and about.

Here are a few of my summer faves:

1. Homemade Lemonade (my taste buds are trained to not need a lot of sugar, if any) So....I can cut up slices of lemon and have it with honey - and hot in the morning for a natural detox, or I can add fresh lemon to an infuser water bottle and enjoy it refreshingly - as made. If you need to add some sweetness, any natural sugar will do. Also, mixing up different fruits in water - like lime, mint, or cucumbers, adds flavor without the calories...WIN-WIN!

2. 7-11's Vitamin water Slurpee!! MY GOD!!! This is THE BEST after my 2-hour workouts in the park!! Flavorful AND SUGAR-FREE!! SIGN! ME! UP!!! The watermelon - peach flavor is DA BOMB!!

3. Starbuck's Refreshers!! Whew Chile, the Grande packs 90 calories and 20 grams of sugar, so....these should be consumed sparingly...but they are refreshingly delicious!! My favorite flavor is Strawberry Acai :)
